Trivia question: Origin of the blower freeze?

    The way I understood it was that Whipple got what they were seeking from the NHRA, a moratorium on blower development. A ruling that would leave them in an enviable sales position. Only they got it too late,after the release of the PSI D. oops!

    Bob Newberry was doing the recert's on the Whipple's. NHRA wanted Art to build a spin tester to check em instead of disassemble, check and reassemble. Art told 'em to piss off, so they did the same. i know this because i just got my whipple back from newberry.

    A SPIN TESTER?????? Who in the world would do that, it sounds a bit daaannngerous! What do you think Norm? LOL.

    Probably would have been easier to spin test a Whipple than a PSI simply because of the overdrive limits.
