#1 Will has done alot for the Alcohol cars(BLOWN,A-fuel,&Funny cars)
#2 It will still be a sportsmen class if everyone driving A BLOWN car quits
#3 Will works for the person that owns the car. By the way they still have A BLOWN car. They participated with both cars this year.If the need would arise the blown car would probaly come back out.Playing it smart does not make you a campjumper.Only a few people have started out with an a-fuel car.So almost half of the class must be campjumpers.
Just my thoughts right or wrong

I think Will's been doing a super job, hope he keeps it up!! He supports the WHOLE TAD class, not just whoever he's helping at the moment! PLUS...he know's how to put a sentenance together. Not run everything together like someone else!! My English sin't the greatest, but at least it's not all run together!

Will, I have a feeling that NHRA will continue to adjust the rules for Parity whether there are any blown cars or not. Why do you think A-Fuel cars had a 2.8 lb weightbreak back in '91? Because they we're few and far between and weren't competitive until Tom Topping and Gene Adams figured out how to make them fly. Will NHRA give Blown cars a 3.8 lb. weight break? Who knows, but your right they waited wayy to long to address this issue!

One of the surprising things I have noticed in the TAD class is that dispite the fact there is so much disparity, it the BADs are still strongly suuporting the class. There were more BADs in NAt'l AND DIVISIONAL this year than last year. NHRA should be looking at that and say, lets make sure the cars that have supported the class do not get left out of the cold.

(maybe they are thinking we don't need to help them as there were more this year than last year so they must like the existing rules ;) ;) )

NHRA would be happier if only 16 cars showed up.
They are not interested in increased numbers that take up qualifing time!

maybe i need to pay more attention, but why doesnt it seem like more blown alky dudes lobby for the gizmo? what is a logical issue to give to blown cars to make them quicker and faster than slow down the a/foolers?

    dave,

they did. one of the major recommendations of the 'committee' meeting of marty thacker, david wells, steve federlin, randy meyer, jerry darien and duane shields was to allow the c blower and digital ignition.

the answer to the blower was no it would cause to many oil downs. I have talked to Len Imbrogno again this week still trying to get the MSD programmable controler PN 8973 approved for the blown cars only and the funny cars. Tate Branch was also involved this week. The impression he left us with was he would try and get this unit approved. Any Questions please ask if I have the answer I will share it with you or if I don't I'll try and get it. Anticipating the next question nitro percentage where did it come from ? you'll have to ask NHRA as it did not come from anyone on the committee. Thanks Dave

Is NHRA now going to also mandate the temp. fuel will be measured at? With out of the drum being 98/99%, A few percent is easily fudged with temp variation.............isn't it?

The "committee" did a lot of good. NHRA does what they want to do.
