    Some more names

Vern Moats - Oly Roller (mid 70's vega)
Fred Mandoline - Wheeler Dealer (a number of them)
Al Dapozzo - Evil Spirit - TAD for the most part but also a Firenza TAFC
Harold Thompson - Red Baron - 78 Mustang
Tom Trisch - Larry Adleman (nice running and looking '76 Vega)
Ken Veney - Veney's Vega (and later on Veney's Vette)
Don Haywood - Haywood and Near - Vega and then a nice Challenger
Phil Sebring - Justice Bros - Vega
Dave Sebring - Sebring Bros. - Vega
Frank Hawley - Pop Shoppe - Vega
    Bob Gottschaulk - Ohio Thunder - Vega/Citation/Others
Alan Teel - Magnum Force - Corvette
Dale Armstrong - Alcoholic (owner by Jim Faust) - Satellite (one of my favorite TAFC's of all time)
Ron Boggs - Boggs Bros - really a AA/A 23-T but I couldn't resist as this was a really cool car
    Gregg Gorman - American Eagle
Herb Rodgers - first the "Entertainer" vega and then "Flyin Glass" (many versions)
Jim Crownhart - Diamond Jim - Vega (and then many others)
Lee Zeinert - Darth Vega - 77 Vega - ran on nitro for a short time and then alky - good runner and good looking car.
Rick Krafft - Jay's Potato Chips - Daytona (first an Arrow that he ran on Nitro for a partial season).
Dave Kinsel - can't remember the name - mid 70's Vega Panel Wagon BB/FC - this is the only Vega Panel FC that I ever saw run so that is why I remember this one.
Fred Hagen - Hagan & O'Hara - '76 Mustang II - used to tow it on an open trailer - nice running car on the match race curcuit in D3.
Dan Crownhart - can't remember the name - Vega (and others)
Simon Menzies - Jim Jackson (also ran nitro) - Corvette
Wayne Mahaffey - Holt and Mahaffey - a number of versions
Floyd Dillard - The Phantom - Daytona (very good D2 match racer - he won a D2 pts race at the old Warner Robins Dragway which was one of the only 1/8 mile NHRA divisional events ever)
Steve Rhoades - Rhoades Bros/Sand Town Shaker - Firebird
Monty Todd - Super Brat - Firebird

If I only had more time, I have a bunch more but time to go back to work.

We need to start a TAD/AADA/AFD/BFD thread like this one as their were some good cars in the 70's and 80's in that group also.

    TJ Turner
I know this one is a nitro car - but one of my favorite match race FC's of the late 70's/early 80's was "The Sting" owed by Larry Coogle and driven by Paul Smith and later on John Pott. Absolutely beautiful car that did loooong burnouts and vicious dry hops. Of course, they were one of many that did those things back in those days.

Rollin' Stone - Carl Stone (also ran as a '23 T altered)
    Gene Boul - ?
Kool Klutch - James "Downtown" Brown
    DragOn Z - Frank Cook
Bobby Marriott - Shockwave (Also Ronnie Young)
Harold Lewelling - Saturday Night Fever, Midnight Special
    Dennis Piranio - ?
Dwight Shewchuck (sp?) - Code Blue
    Shad Wheeler - Lil Thumper
Grady Bryant - All American Boys
    Charlie Byers - ?
    ? - Time Bandit

Great thread Will! Sure brings back memories of the All American Funny Car curcuit.

I'm pretty sure Don Gay Jr. had "Infinity" painted somewhere on his car. I think Jimmy Jones had one called "Joker's Wild" at one time. Gene Snow had an injected fuel (A/FC) at one time. I think Jake Crimmons drove it for a while.

The Funny Farmer was driven by Glen Lazzar, first a Pinto then a Monza,
Bob Chipper had a Vega BB/FC, not sure of the name, maybe "Agitator"?

And I'm going to throw in my buddy Rod Phelps who ran "The Buzzard", small-block alky digger he ran in the Pro Comp era.

They may have been mentioned, but the Cassidy Bros. had that Grand Am, similar to Mickey Thompson's, in BB/FC before trying nitro.

Ron Scott had a BB/FC after years of racing '23 T AA/A in Comp.
