Randy I couldn't agree with you more. I am so very proud of the performance my family has and what we have accomplished through hard work and only our own money. I wish her the best of luck in all of her racing endeavors. Maybe she should come try out my fuel altered to see if she really wants to go fast.

 

Wouldn't you say as long as she gets licensed and has the money to pay for what she wants to do then its up to her.
I understand the concern on the one hand regarding the experience level and the fact that this will make many drivers nervous with her in the lane next to you, but there is no rules regarding that. Only that she license's, which is the NHRA's only requirement, I would think the gripe should be with NHRA and there system to be able to drive a T/F car instead of whether she has too much money or not.
I have never looked at another racer and looked down upon them because they had more money then I did, I never had time to I was always trying to figure out what I need to do for my own car not what someone else was able to do with there's. I have studied another car that had all the cool stuff because the guy had more money then I did, but I never thought he shouldn't have it, if he could afford it.
I think alot of guys need to stop looking up and wish they had more and take the time to look down and be glad you have what you do

Smith injured in Street accident

I see an update on the NHRA article about her (today 12/10) that Anna Lisa is listed in serious condition following a street accident(not on the track). I sure hope she will be ok.... as I'm sure all of us do. Good luck kid! and Best wishes!!

Bruton Smith's daughter injured in accident: The daughter of Bruton Smith [Anna Lisa Smith] was taken to the hospital after an accident this morning in Huntersville, NC. The single vehicle accident happened on Gilead Road near Beatties Ford Road around 5 a.m. The wrecked vehicle was found off the road in a field. Smith’s daughter is listed in serious condition at Carolinas Medical Center.(NewsChannel 36)(12-10-2008)

Correct me if I am wrong, but didn't Del Worsham and even John Force jump right into fuel cars without any prior experience??

 

I don't know about Force (or care), but Del had Nitro running in his veins long before he got his shot behind the wheel...

 

You are correct when it comes to Del. He had no prior drag racing experience. Not sure what Force drove prior to Funny Cars

 

Force jumped right in to funny car without a license. But FC's were barely running 200MPH then. He did use a tax refund check and pawned his mom's organ to buy his first FC though.

LOL! That was my first thought too when I first read about it. Come to find out it was a bench organ she won on a game show.

Perhaps Dow Corning will step up to the plate.

 

I know KC ran an alky f/c for at least a year, if not more.

 

hell from where im settin looks like she can probley get any thing she wants does she need another house the last one i had like that got a house a car a funny car and what ever else she wanted to take when she left LOL

 

All I care about right now is that she fully recovers from her accident.
She is still listed in serious condition, but showing improvement.
