BAE is interchangeable with KB stuff except for sleeves. Both Blocks are great.

the bae is probably the most commonly used "billet "block (its realy a cnc'd forging,
its a good block and unless i could afford the top of the line CN block thats what id use,
I have no doubt the TFX is every bit as good also, if you need to change id get whichever came along cheapest,
do you need to or just want to? there is some real fast stuff out there using the kb blocks

The TFX block is used by about 95% of the touring fuel cars.

The pan rail is an inch wider on both sides, and the idler gear is fixed in the block.

Both the TFX and BAE are great blocks, sleeves are readily available, and at a reasonable cost.

At this time, KB sleeves are WAY more expensive, and usually not in stock.

Currently, used blocks are at a premium, so buy one from someone who is reputable, or have it sent to the manufacturer to inspect it on YOUR behalf before paying for it.

If you have an early Tall cam KB type cover, it won't work with a BAE, either. In the back of the cover, the casting is too big to clear the oil galley on a BAE, or a Stage 10 KB after serial #125, or a KB stage 15.

Don't base your block decision around a pan and a gear drive cover.

If you are going to run nitro, and ever want to buy take-out blocks from the big fuel teams, most run TFX.

What bore do your KB blocks have now?

If it is not 4.187, check sleeve prices, and availability before you decide which direction you are going,
