I have a Keith Black Olds block, casting # 22536181. Can someone give me some info on this block. Is it a DRCE block? Whats it worth. It is a 6 bolt main aluminum block. Thanks.

The part # should be #22536161 (I'm assuming that the #22536181 was a typo)........anyhow, yes it's an Olds DRCE based casting.

They were available in at least 3 deck heights, 9.925",10.500", & 10.700". The block accepts std BBC bore spacing (4.840") internal components. The cylinder head bolt pattern could be machined for, Olds DRCE, Pontiac Big Cheif, or I believe also std BBC.

    Value..........obviously depends on condition.

You are right hotrod1442, but the head bolt pattern on the 22536161 was specifically designed for olds drce heads..... Not interchangeable with conventional BBC cylinder heads!!! Correct me if I'm wrong
