When getting past the dreaded "K" hole, you must remember that the two equal length lifters with a straight edge across them at overlap, only works on single pattern cams, not the asymetrical dual pattern units that are so common today. It also won't work with splayed lifter bores like Big Block Chevy. For most other applications, this is the quickest and simplest way to time a camshaft. Find TDC, put the cam on overlap, straightdege the lifters, and bolt 'er up.
