    (ANDRA Head Office)
ANDRA Championship Drag Racing young-gun Aaron Hambridge will be looking to cap off a career best season with a win this weekend when he takes the APM / Fabre Australia Top Alcohol Dragster to Willowbank for the first time this year. It would be fair to say that Team APM have been hitting well above their weight this season with several finals a ppearances and a win at the opening event of the season - the East Coast Nationals - despite facing off against some of the biggest names in Australian drag racing.

Those lucky enough to get out to Willowbank Raceway this weekend will see one of the toughest Top Alcohol fields in history with the championship on the line and several teams out to prove just what they''re made of in this year's final round. Hambridge's state-of-the-art Hadman chassis machine will make its interstate debut at the event with spectators invited to take a closer look at the car that had everyone talking at the last couple of Sydney events.

Tune-up wise, the team couldn't have been happier with the PB achieved at the recent Snap-On Nitro champs and say that there's even more power in it if the conditions are right. Team APM dragster pilot Aaron Hambridge explains, "The track is always really good at the Winternationals and if the air will allow it, you can expect the cars to make a bunch more horsepower. Sticking it to the track is the challenge for all of us and we want to put on a great show for our mates in QLD."

Team Principal Steve Hambridge said that the team couldn't have done as well as they have this season without the incredible support of Fabre Australia and Fire Service Plus. Steve made special mention of the support that Fire Service Plus owner Steve Caunt has made in the latter part of the season, allowing the team to make it to the last couple of events including the Castrol Edge Winternationals. "Steve's been a great help and his support has certainly made all the difference in the last couple of months."

Aaron, Team APM and their stunning satin-black rocket-ship will be on display this long weekend and on track from 5pm Friday for round one qualifying. Don't miss it!

With a first round early shut-off only good for a 9.5 second ET, Aaron Hambridge has taken the Team APM Top Alcohol Dragster into the number two spot with a PB 5.609 at 249mph. With one round of qualifying still to come, the team is looking good to contest the biggest event of the year. More updates to follow.

Ben Bray in the Armor All Funny Car up against Aaron Hambridge, Hambridge is a virtual rookie in this field, one tough field you had to run 5.72 to get into the field. Benny just had a get out of jail card in Top Dcoorslammer he will be wanting to take the win, they leave, its bad tyre shake for Bray, it blew the tyres off it on the throttle, it didn’t even get to the sixty foot mark, Hambridge is on a mission and its a great pass for him despite him nearing the centre line.

Aaron has made the final with a holeshot win over reigning national champion Wayne Newby. The winning semi-final run was a 5.61 @ 254mph (.009 light) to Wayne's fast finishing 257mph.
He has Brett Stevens' Mustang funny car in the final.

The runner-up spot is Aaron's and a new national ET record as well.
