Crankcase Pressure Levels

    I assume that the door cars (promods) put the puke tank vent in the decklid for the reasons stated above. So Im just thinking out loud here... if the air flowing over the vent is creating a negative pressure, wouldn’t the oil try to flow through the puke tank to try and equalize pressures? This would then render the puke tank useless for what it was designed for, helping the oil to flow directly out the vent and onto the track?

    There would have to be mechanical/baffle means to calm and settle the oil out of suspension.

    What I’m getting at is with the large pressure differential, velocity moving through the tank would be higher, so there is less time for it to separate out. Vacuum is some pretty serious stuff, even in small quantities.

    Yup, but think for a minute. There are thousands of drag motors that draw a vacuum, and they deal with the flow/liquid, without issue These monsters are just scaled up versions. Now in the event of a catastrophic failure like a holed piston (the main reason for the legal puke tank) then prolly a different messy story. Time to take the chutes to a local laundromat and abuse their equipment as opposed to being abused by the Queen of the household.
