CAP CHARGER READY TO RUMBLE AT NORWALK

Bobby Martin’s CAP CHARGER Top Alcohol Funny Car makes its home division debut as the DaimlerChrysler College Automotive Program entry competes in this weekend’s (May 18-20 ) Division 3 Lucas Oil Cavalcade of Stars at Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

The team is coming off the Division 1 meet in Richmond, Virginia where weather and tire shake unfortunately kept the CAP CHARGER out of the eight car field, but Bobby and the crew love the new Charger, and they’re fired-up about racing at Norwalk.

The Cavalcade of Stars is a “homecoming” race for the CAP team as the entire crew hails from the Buckeye state. Since Norwalk is the closest thing to a “local” track that Martin will compete at this year, this is also a great opportunity for CAP CHARGER fans and friends to join together for a weekend of exciting racing action. The last time the team ran a race this close to home was in 2000 at Quaker City in Salem, OH.

The Norwalk ¼ mile has long been known for its exceptional traction as well as being one of the nicest racing facilities in the entire state of Ohio, if not the country. Race fans will be treated to spectacular racing action in all the NHRA sportsman classes. But in true Bill Bader Norwalk style, “That’s not all!” The family friendly facility will showcase four wild nitro-burning Fuel Altereds, two amazing 270 mph Jet Funny Cars, and a 220 mph jet-powered Kenworth truck! And don’t miss the Fireworks display Saturday night. Gates open at 8:00 am all three days.
