Bryant or Winberg billet, is either one better than the other and why?

Tell me about Velasco cranks. Are they heavier? what are your thoughts on the lightning holes in the the rod throws, this is where the BBC cranks are breaking at the 1-2 rod journal

Does anyone have any thoughts on micro polishing the entire crank? Both Bryant and Winberg offer it for $500. Is it worth having it done to help with surface strength and windage. I know they look pretty but once you put the pan on you never see it
