i wouldn't go booking tickets to bristol yet, i've seen that very same chart be wrong as far as future year's races. as far as the schedule i posted, it was a 'mock' schedule in an effort to spread the schedule out and minimize back to back weekends. i apparently stepped on a lot of dates, and some of my summer/fall dates aren't wanted.

my next column at dro will continue to address the situation.

one major problem is that the agendas of the lower sportsman ranks and the alcohol racers' agendas are different. with considerably less maintenance, personell and cash flow requirements between races, it's not an issue for those racers to run back to back events. since the money is made from the sportsman cars, that's who gets their bread buttered.
