We run essentially the same setup on our car. On cold days we start it on gas in the pits and never have a problem in the staging lanes.
Our blowback bars run from the back of the bellhousing to uprights on the chassis. We never had a problem with them.

Duramax/Allison is the only way to go. Stock I can do 70mph uphill, downhill and on the side of it. I get about 12mpg with a 50' Performax.
