I don't. the oil builds heat pretty quick. I can watch the oil pressure gauge for it to drop to it's normal hot range and my crew chief watches...
When i start mine, the pump immediately comes back about 1/2 way. It'll idle @ 1900-2000, i trim it until it's about 2300-2400 and let it build...
I have used everything from 2 stroke to 90w. Currently it has the same 60w that goes in the crank case (per littlefield).
