If you set top dead center with a hard stop it will be correct--- there's room for error using a dial indicator -----use a hard stop ---
I can't answer you fuel question, but I can ask you some other questions ---- like since you moved the blower and have no data or boost readings...
How did you miss you number by 6 degrees, was your TDC mark in the wrong place ?
The even side head would be preferred----the post about the block growing with heat is expaining that the clearances increase when hot and come...
He has a 5 stage pump , is he pulling off the heads with a scavenge line ?
Ditto with the post above --- again, what oil do you run ? It makes a difference .
Maybe what should happen is to ask about a stranger on this forum BEFORE the transaction --???
How about the particulars on your engine --- oil type and brand ---main bearing clearances ----- any past block damage that was repaired -- etc etc
It's real hard to beat the 18v Lith Ion battery Makitas for working all day and weight ---------
For me it would depend on what tasks and what fasteners you are going to use this tool on--- that's why you still see teams using 9.6v and 12 volt...
