You can have a badass nitro motor at 6.5 to 1. at 75%. Awesome at 85%. I crewed on an A-Fuel car that had 11:0 to 1 and it would run 270 mph....

I can see all this mattering on a Super Stock engine with a 283 cu in engine. Vacuum matters then. Not on a screw blower than can put out 50+ psi....
