    is your hat a 4, 6 or 8 nozzle hat ?????
a 115 main is going to put to much fuel back to
your fuel cell or pump loop.
    i have a 505 bbc w/335cnc pro 1 heads .800 lift
    14.3 comp i run 8 port nozzles .040 and a main of
    .090......end of pass egt`s read 1100 to 1125 temp
a .100 main would be alot safer than the
    .115 you have in it........
the leak down would be around 42% to 45%

I had 565 BBC with hat, same compression and same heads. I ran a Ron's #1 pump 38 nozzles, 98-104 pill at 28-32% leakage. Was not close to being lean. Couple questions? What pump do you have? Are your nozzles in the intake runners? Who's nozzles? 35's would be too small not familer with the f28 markings.

My leakage was higher because i ran it on the rich
side at a idle, the pump i have is the rons 0-1/2
i am launching at 4800 rpm.

We have a 572 with 1802 Big Chief heads a bird catcher 38 N and a 115 main we run the 1/8 mile. have a waterman blue pump we run around 38% leak. ex temp at idle is 425 to 450 and ex at end of 1/8 mile is 995 to 1025 most runs we run 4.60s at 146 mph
we ran close to the same when we had our 540 but had 36n

    i

i have a 8 nozzle hat. they are enderly nozzles. and a enderly #1 pump i think he said that they flowed 28 thats why its stamped on there with the 35.
so the more percentage you have the leaner it gets or the richer it gets. the nozzles are in the intake runners.

it gets leaner with higher % leakage....
so the nozzles are in the intake???? not the hat ???
or you have 8 in the hat and 8 on the intake ???

just 8 in the intake nothing in the hat. a guy from fowler engines told me i needed no. 38 nozzels and a 115 main with about 42% sound close enough ? or you still think thats too much fuel back in the tank.

my opinion, yes too lean. go with a .100 or .105 main to be safe.
unless your at about 4500ft alt.

We have an alky 12:1 496" BBC with a Bird on a Edelbrock tunnel ram with the nozzels in the runners. Enderle 80A pump, eight 31 Enderle nozzels with a 90 pill and no hi-speed. BV leaks at 30% and 32 degrees timing. It's in a 1650 pound RED hardtail running 7.89 - 170 at 1000' elevation.
The small nozzels get the fuel pressure up where it belongs.
