Weather Station

Ralph Gorr at Gorr Fuels has a great one in a nice wooden box that uses an altimeter instead of a barometer which I think is better.

The big question is what software are you going to use to adjust your fuel based on this data. That will also help choose which or what type of weather station is required.The two most populat programs are Jetsize by Les Davenport and the one in a hand held computer by Ralph Gorr.

You can make a weather staion yourself. Any HVAC supply house sells a hand helddigital thermometer/humidity sensor which is extremely accurate and then all you need is a altimeter or a barometer. If you use a barometer it has to be re-calibrated for actual or absolute pressure vice the corrected to sea level pressure that they come setup as. To do this you can go to and air field weather office and ask them for the field absolute pressure readings and adjust the screw on the back until it reads the same.
