    Bad Moon Rising

Chuck Phelps owned and drove the Bad Moon Rising/Wolf pack team for quite a few NHRA wins in 1983-87. He won the Ennis Texas Innaugural Chief Auto parts National event in Alcohol Funny Car Class in 1986. Number 427 had 3 body styles...first the Corvette bought from Mickey Winters (Who then became crew chief). THe Corvette (Old name Saturday Night Fever) turned into a Trans am and last the Daytona body.
MIckey passed away in 2004 and Chuck in 2006. I'm Chuck's wife, Lynette (aka, Little Red Riding Hood). I designed and made all the shirts and tuxedos for the team and myself. Those were probably the best years of our lives...
I am looking to find Chucks old car. He sold it in the late 1980's. Please email me if you have any information regarding the whereabouts of our car.
    THank you, Lynette (Little Red)

    Nick Bell

Hey Nick, I believe we have your the last Bell Boys car here in our garage. It was your dad's car, and then Craig drove it with the probe body on it. It is a 1989 Massey Chassis car, and it is the nicest piece of pipe out there. It is an honor to drive the same car your dad did, he was an awsome driver and nice guy. If you want to see it, I'll get you some pics...Mike

Vern Moats = Oly Roller. (Ironically sponsored by three major beer companies of the time and has never drank alcohol in his life! His parents were a strict Bible family from a small town... drinking was just not acceptable in his life... how cool is that!?!)

    Funny Car Racers

How about Pat Cress ( Chicagoian ) at the beginning was tuned by Dale Armstrong.
I had a race shop in Gasoline alley, two shops down was Dale Armstrong, and across the alley was Billy Williams. And for some time George Cambra !! Good old days of drinking beer and telling racing stories
