Spokane County Raceway Park has a new Operations manager,..
Cindy Gibbs , daughter of nhra`s Nostalgia man himself Steve Gibbs.
Cindy will be holding down the fort, and will be giving her all to keep drag racing alive
at Spokane and to all that enjoy the new improvements this facility has been givin.

Spokane will be open,...for this season,....

    :D

:) Great to hear!!!! Any schedule out yet? any idea if they will still have a division race? Now if Billings (Acton) can get something going, I will be able to race without having 600 mile (one way) trips.

"However, committee members called for Hodgson and Allen to align Spokane County Raceway Park with the National Hot Rod Association instead of the International Hot Rod Association.

Commissioner Todd Mielke urged an “open-minded” approach to the affiliation."

Good or bad it Looks like they are pushing for NHRA!!!

    Division race

If Spokane does accept NHRA as their venue, I'll bet they'll be asking for the remaining, unscheduled Division Race.... ASAP.

Nothing has been posted yet, reguarding Medfords choice of contractors to initiate the work, for the bidding process that was closed on February 5, 2010.
With the economy as such, I'd bet that their commissioners want to see just how low the Limbo Pole ( $$$ ) can go.

Congrats to the Spokane County Commissioners for their unamimous vote!
At least they recogonize that it takes money, to make money.
