currently use 6061-10 , do anybody use autolight and have a number for them
Would not recommend Autolite plugs because the base circle will not color so you cannot read the plugs. There are cheaper NGK plugs available that read well and are cheaper if you are interested
thanks mike, do you know of a good spot to buy ngk,s
ngk b10es $1.45 rockauto
That NGK B10ES is a good blower plug.
What’s the difference between that and a ngk10 or 11 ? I mean if it’s so cheap why isn’t everyone running them?
10 or 11 is just the heat range of the plug. If you mean what is the difference between a B10ES and. 6061 plug then it is the length of the ground strap. The 6061 has a very short ground strap so it doesn’t get as hot on the tip as a B10ES so less change of it heating up like a glow plug and prematurely igniting the mixture as in preignition. Not sure I would ever run the mixture that lean in a normal tuneup but if you loose a intake pushrod so you shut off a cylinder causing the boost to increase on the other cylinders causing them to go lean and detonate the short ground strap my save the engine
There are also design changes in the for presure ring sealing
thanks for the info
