Larry Miner to debut family backed car in Fontana

Early last year when Larry Miner was tapped to drive the TORCO Race Fuels/eRace Fuels TA/FC owned by Randy Goodwin, Larry and his family already had a program underway to race their own TA/FC. When the opportunity with Randy presented itself, the Miner Family continued to assemble parts and pieces for their own race car while competing behind the wheel of the red and black machine.

After the loss of sponsorship at the end of 2005, Randy Goodwin decided to park his race car. As a result, Larry, Fred, Greg, Tommy and Nick Miner all knuckled down and completed their car in time for this weekend's Lucas Oil Divisional Race in Fontana, California.

The Miner machine is a Brad Hadman built chassis with a Miner Bros/Fontana powerplant, Lenco transmission and a Monte Carlo body.

I can say from experience and from standing about 12 feet behind my car when Larry Miner drove it, he's one of the best drivers out there. Their goal is to go have some fun racing with family and friends. Only problem is, when Larry puts the helmet on he doesn't have any friends. LOL.
