Grease on carbon rotor

    Whats best way to remove grease from carbon rotors & pads?

    I was told 500 deg for 8 hours, then scuff them back in with a da sander.

    eli,

    Brake cleaner will not get the grease/oil out of a carbon rotor. Baking them out is the only way to get all the oil and grease out of the carbon.

    x2 on baking the rotors. Manzo said the same thing to us a few years back. We had no idea.
