Hello, have a 548ci blown alcohol motor in a pulling truck, 4.25 stroke, 4.530 bore with a 6.535 rod, 1471 HH, currently running JE flat tops w/1.520 CH, i'm thinking about going to a dome piston to bump up the compression ratio(only running 9.3:1 right now), since it also time for a new set of rods my question is am I better to go to a longer rod ie 6.7?? or 6.8?? and a shorter piston or stick with the 6.535 rod? One thing nice about the current setup is suppliers usually have parts on the shelf vs going to a custom length rod, we are typically turning 7-8000 RPM and like to have quite a bit torque to get things moving off the line, thanks guys!

I like that 1.520CH better. stronger piston, plus the ring aren't bunched up at the top (pin not into the rings).
