Alexis DeJoria Racing Team Looking for a Win at their Second Norwalk Appearance

Venice, CA (June 20, 2011) – The Alexis DeJoria Racing team is getting ready for their second showing at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, OH this weekend.

The team, which performed well at their Norwalk debut last summer, is going into this race on a high note. Their last race in Englishtown, NJ earlier this month was a crucial turning point. Prior, the team had been haunted by a string of disappointing races, but in Englishtown, it all came together, and any ‘car issues’ the team was having before that race have since been resolved. “We’re back on track now! We were consistent in Englishtown and our car is just so incredibly fast! We have a really good chance to do well in Norwalk,” says the team’s driver, Alexis DeJoria.

As one would expect in the middle of June, the weekend is expected to be hot and humid. While this does provide a bit of a challenge, the crew has already begun making preparations to deal with these conditions.

“I had such a great time in Ohio last year,” adds Alexis. “The fans in Norwalk are just incredible. They get really into it, and there’s such a good energy at that race. It would be fantastic to stand inside the winner’s circle this weekend in front of this group of dedicated fans, and I feel confident that we can do that.”

The Alexis DeJoria Racing team will compete this weekend at the 5th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals in Norwalk, OH, June 24th- June 26th.
