    This is a REAL organization!!!

Our motto: All for one, and one for all!

Membership dues are 1.00 dollar: This includes quarterly membership newsletter, decal, and a scratch-n-sniff nitro card. We also will be selling shirts and hats to help support our cause.

Shirts are 15.00 dollars plus 2.00 dollars postage.
Hats are 20.00 dollars plus 2.00 dollars postage.

Everyone is eligible to become a member, including our blown friends.

    A/FRO Directives:

1-Present our class to NHRA in a professional manner.

2-Provide TRUE representation to NHRA of class issues.

3-A/FRO will have meetings at all NHRA events including National and Divisional races. Representives will be elected for each division. Calm down, meetings can take as little as 5 minutes!!

4-Present our blown friends information on start up costs and seasonal budgets to run an A-Fuel dragster.

5-Inform NHRA on all bullshit pairity isuses: Current information concludes that the class will be changed to 95-96% nitro. Also a 3:20 gear may be put into effect. Code name Buckwheat has experimented with both of these combinations and the results are not good!!!! Average E.T loss would be 3 to 4 tenths just on 3% reduction.

6-Immediate response is needed!!!!NHRA must be informed of the results this would bring to our class.

    Inquires should be addressed to:

NHRA has to decide if they want the 2 combo's or not, I just hope they don't pull an IHRA Pro mod and wait till 85% of the class goes to the blown combo, then Hammer the hell out of them! Rob, I had heard that 90% and a 3.20 Gear was discussed. We'll find out.

Thanks for your concern. You are correct in thinking that the effects of current proposals will harm our class. That's why we must bond now! A/FRO's first meeting will be in Reading on Friday. The time will be annouced later this week.

    Remain Solid.

Well Rob- you just furnished the proof-
Not only is A/FD cheaper than B/AD to run,
but your orginization is cheaper to join than TARA. [IMG]

TADracer- the history of the class shows that AFD existed prior to a separate class called Top Alcohol Dragster. Prior to the early 80's, alky FC's (BB/FC), alky dragsters (AA/DA), and unblown fuelers (AFD and BFD) ran together in Pro Comp eliminator (along with a couple of other off-shoots). When NHRA broke out the dragsters and FC's, they lumped all the dragster classes together and called them TAD's even though they knew that AF's and AA/DA's would be running together, so I do not think the name TAD was ever meant to exclude AF's. At the time, the AF's were almost non-existent so maybe NHRA thought they were dying out. Davey Settles and Don Enriquez were 2 tough AF's in the mid to late 70's but neither of them were running AF's at the time of the dragster/FC split.

Rob - what is the purpose of this post - are you trying to get some comments from TAD guys so you can then claim they are "crying" - if so, that's worse than the comments you might get.

A/FRO is a particular hairstyle, isn't it? I thought you were kidding, but obviously not.

    Good luck.

I hear that the Joker has thinning hair. Can he join A/FRO, or will he have to get a transplant first?

    Will,

It's not a joke. Grass is always greener on the other side when it's artifical turf....

I will have a website soon and would like a link from your website also.

    Tjturner,
I am serious about this organization. It's to help inform both parties the benefits of running an A/Fueler. We have the backing of some pretty influential people that will be announced soon. I am not looking for negative comments here, so if you can't help the cause, please drive thru. Thanks for your information.

    Dale F
I did fill out the information that was sent early in the year but did not feel that I needed to send 250.00 dollars to voice my opinion. I also didn't feel that TARA had true representation for all the racers. Mostly it is an association for the a small group that is pissed off at the A/Fuel class for running quicker. Their shirts even show their opinion of what really should be in their association. A blown funny car and a blown dragster. Thanks for your question.

    Randy G
Thanks for the support. Hair style or not, beware of the brotherhood....

Shirts will be available in Reading. A/FRO's first meeting will be on Friday, time to be announced on Wednesday.

Thanks to everyone who called today! I am glad to know that both blown and a/fuel racers are interested.

Two organizations, that will help, NOT! A divided voice is much easier to be manipulated (i.e. defeat).

I'm not sure what school you went to but in a democracy most do include two or more different parties. I would say A/FRO would be more republican then democratic, and TARA more commmunistic. Thanks for your post.

Again, A/FRO would like positive feed back.

    Newsletter Message #1

Last issue of ND showed the following:

    Wins division races
    A/Fuel 11
    Blown 17

Add one more to the blown, Earlville.

    Wins National Races
    A/Fuel 6
    Blown 4

Should of been 5 and 5 if not for a red light by a Sundae Driver.

Add one more to A/Fuel, Indy

    Total
    A/Fuel 11 + 7 = 18
    Blown 18 + 4 = 22

Mid season stats showed out of the top 50 in points.
    A/Fuel 19
    Blown 31

    Top 10 in points
    A/Fuel 5
    Blown 5

    Last National event.
    Semi final
    A/Fuel 1
    Blown 3

    From the Brotherhood, Solid!

Wins aren't everything you know, in the end all that matters is points, not wins necessarily.

    Top 5 National Points

    A/Fuel 4
    Blown 1

    (BAD is #4)

To address the issue of consistency, if a racer is up there in the points standings then they must have been consistently good or at least "better" on a more regular basis than the other racers that are further down in the standings...seems to make sense to me...
