The CSR gauge is rhe best. CSR will check the calibration and afjut it is required freee for life. Sorry Rugster but I have several Morosa gauges and they all read different and I have seen so many other Moroso gauges that are off by .25 lbs or more.

Remember you are adjusting tire pressures by less than a quarter pound. I have seen Moroso gauges be one pound off and the guys car going into shake all the time because he didn't know it. I will say that I have seen some Moroso gauges be right on but very few. Then the question is how do you test your gauge because you need a standard. CSR has testers in their trailers at major events or find someone with a CSR gauge and test yours against it.

i think having a good consistent gauge is definately important, and you can just about spend what ever you want on one...from $40-$400. i bought a jegs pro digital a few years ago and really like it. i don't know who makes them for jegs, but it is pretty good for the $$.http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/65035/10002/-1
just a note to everyone....don't fold the hose and put it in your back pocket. after time any hose will break down inside and cause very erratic readings....trust me on this one. if you have done this in the past take your gauge and read a tire.....then bend the hose the other way and re-check. it took me about 3 laps of taking a hard left turn to figure this out. just something to think about.

probably the best ever made guage is a blood pressure guage
make your self a conversion chart from torr to psi
but only for pressures under 5.7lbs

people trust their lifes to them ever day

I had two of the Moroso gauges last year. I had them for years. For some odd reason last year we just couldn't get down the race track to save our lives. The damn car shook, hopped, spun the tires, did everything except run good. I finally hired a tuner to help us out. He tried everything he could think of also. Finally he suggested checking our tire gauges against one of our competitors CSR gauge. Mine was a full pound off. No wonder nothing worked right. I tried to buy a CSR gauge but found out they were back ordered for over a year from everybody that carries them that I could find including CSR themselves. I bought the intercomp gauge. So far it seems pretty good but we'll see next weekend. Moral of the day- cheap prices are usually cheap products and you don't ever want to go cheap with a tire gauge. Dave Germain

Hmmm now there is an idea…. The doctor I go to usually has the nurse see me, check me out, and then I have to wait 5 or 10 minutes before the doctor comes in to see me. That gives me plenty of time to get it off the wall. Now I just need to remember the crescent wrench.

Does this go for their pro series big 4 inch gauges, or just the smaller ones. From what I can tell, they are constructed differently
