    Good Morning,
I am a fast bracket/sportsman racer (4.70 1/8 mi stuff) My engine is a 526 old school blown alc Hemi
    • KB stage 3 block (water block - Dry) 4.31 bore, std deck, std cam, std lifter spacing and size
    • Veney heads
    • Bryant 4.5" crank
That being said I seem to have cracked my block thru the #2 main and find myself looking for a replacement block. The paths I have to follow are replace the block with another KB water block or bite the bullet and get a new or gently used billet block. if going new Id prefer to go billet as all the new offering from KB present the same issues (for me) Raised cam, Lifter spacing.

My question is to those running similarly past or present am I asking too much of a KB water block?
My old block cracked along an old repair I didn't know the extent of until now...

Its perfectly fine for what you are doing. I have same combo. Sounds like the repair was not the best. Try and get Andre at BAE to look at it.

Thanks, I had Indy Cylinder heads look at it, it can be repaired but they stated it will not hold up in a blown application.

Would waste the money on repairing, especially if ur going blown. And especially with that big of a stroke. Get another block cause they will keep cracking!!
