Alcohol fuel additives

    Does anyone know of an additive that makes flames visible like nitro? Want to make night time pro mod fun to watch.

    Just Add Nitro, about 30%, then back the timing down a bit and you will get flames. Not 10' tall but nice flames. Small adjustment in fuel /air ratio might be in order also. Bob Szabo's calculator can do that for you quickly.

    To be safe it would be good to know your current engine combo. Blower size,type, OD. compression ratio, fuel pump, etc. AFR of about 2.3:1 on hemi style engine should be safe as long as the blower OD is low and or the compression is lowered to around 9:1... For example 480" hemi ,14-71 @10% over with 30% nitro will Thump hard and get your attention. High compression and high boost with nitro will cost alot of broken parts. If your serious Just give Bob Szabo a call .

    What is out there for tools to test the alcohol fuels as our association only allows straight alky, no funny stuff?
