SPE Blower Starter voltage?

Can anyone tell me what voltage can be used on the old SPE blower starters?

What Amp batteries? Are you using 2 12vs or one 24V?

We used the two 12 volts that were in the crew cab truck and a series / parallel swithch, ( like the big trucks use ) to swithch from 12v to 24v.
It worked real nice never had to charge the batteries.

 

If i remember those starters used a ford starter motor from some thing like a year "63" where the bendix pulled back instead of pushing out and had a longer shaft to put the keyway into, i may even have one still laying under the bench but i think i threw it out after looking at it for about 10 years
so it started life as a 12 volt ford truck starter

It should be 24V with 2 battery's. I sold one to JR at RBS a couple of years ago, think he still has it. Randy

Can any of y'all help me out on what SPE is? We've recently bought a new outlaw fuel altered and it came with SPE brakes on it and I'm not familiar with that brand and can't seem to find anything about it on the internet.
