In a blown converter drive application (funny or promod or something similar), from a driver's point of view, is a handbrake that useful or necessary? What are people's driving habits in these types of applications typically?

Thinking of lopping mine off to eliminate clutter & weight & obstruction.

Good or bad idea from those with experience?

    Thanks.

    hand brake

we have a FED with the same set up and between the trans brake, the reverser handle and the shifter buttons the foot brake worked the best. going from revers to forward and running the trans brake and the reverser handle your hands are pretty much full.

we run a blown fed with a glide and handbrake, i really like the handbrake, as far as potential problems, having a foot brake is a good idea because if you get cross up at any point, letting go of the wheel to slow down is a tough thing to do. I like staging with the handbrake as a personal thing but if i was to suggest anything it would be to have both a foot and hand brake.
