I'm running a BBC blown and injected on alky. My ? is yes or no on the inline filter after the mech pump and before the bv? Or is this to restrictive and the best one to use?

I like using a stainless steel mesh cone screen that fits into the BV inlet fitting. It is held in place by the inlet AN fitting. It is available from RBS. It does not change the GPM and can be quickly checked between rounds.

we too run the an style filter and it has worked great for us, alot less bulky then the big canister style filters and alot easier to check between rounds like mike said, here is a link to them from RBS

The canister filter has more area than the screen mesh filter, so it is less likely too clog. Have run both i like the canister better.

be aware that the canister type only has one correct way of reassembly - get it wrong and the motor will just fire and die, found that out the hard way between rounds !!
