I have an oil pan made by Moroso that is definately not std late Hemi because the mounting flange is way too wide. Would like to sell this but I need to know exactly what it fits. Guessing TFX but not certain. Are there a few dimensions I could check that would clue me in?

Also, could someone help me with a phone # for Ken Veney? Need to get some history on an older set of his heads but haven't been able to find his #.

    Thanks

A clarification is in order. What I'm trying to say is if one were to look down on the block side and measure between the flanges/rails on a stock style pan the measurement will be aproximately 8 inches from inside to inside. On the Moroso pan I have that number increases to 9 1/4 inches. Also, the bolt pattern from front to rear is different than stock.

And as to the number for Veney, I asked too soon. Have it now.

hahaha yeah confusion about the "wide flange" you mean its got spread pan rails,

then as you guess tfx is as good a bet as any there are a few other block makers that do it.
put up all the dims and someone will know

What I have would be for a 92 then. It's a tad over 1" wider than std Hemi. Thanks for the additional info.

I'll get off my semi lazy butt tomorrow and get ALL the dimensions (exact length, width, etc.) along with the approximate spacing of the bolt holes and post them. Maybe someone can absolutely identify it. Would really be nice if Morose had stamped a part number on it but all that's on it is "Moroso" stamped on the side. Oh, and someone etched 9/98 on the inside but that doesn't tell me anything.

BTW, it's a single line wet sump.

If it is a TFX pan:
I went out and measured a billet pan rail we had cut years ago, but the prints were not at the mill where they hung on the clipboard for years, so this is just with a tape measure so it is not perfect and just for referance:

the 3 sets of holes at the 3 center main cap area are roughly 1 5/8" hole center to center
the 2 sets of holes at the rear cap are roughly 13/16" hole center to center
the "96" and up billet included at roughly 10 3/8" hole center to center on width
the "92" is the odd on at 11 3/8" center to center for the width.

Ok, now I measured a bit differently so I'll explain as best I can. Looking from the top down and starting at the front, I get approximately 3 1/2 between the center most holes or said another way, each most forward hole is 1 3/4 off the CL of the pan. Now because the next holes are at an outward angle and further back I measured center to center aacross the width of the pan got 10 5/16. Next holes are along the rails and in a straight line so these mesasurements are hole to hole. 3 1/2, 1 9/16, 3 3/16, 1 9/16, 3 3/16, 1 1/2, 3 3/16. At the rear the two middle holes are 5 3/4 appart with the outside holes located 3/4 from them. Outside dimension of the rails is11 1/2 qith an overall length of 24 exactly. Inside dims of the rails is 9 1/2 wide and 22 1/8 long. I too was measuring with at tape so I could be off as much as maybr a 1/16.

    Hope this wasn't too confusing.

Sorry for the typos. qith was supposed to be width, at tape was supposed to be a tape and maybr was supposed to be maybe. I'm old and half blind and never could type.
