    Hi

Lookoing at getting a new glide and would like to hear what ratio would be best suited for a blown SBF in an Altered. Total weight around the 1900lbs with 4.11-4.33 gears and 33-34.5" tyre.

    Estimated HP 1400-1600.

    Any advice will be appreciated.

I ran a Blown Alky 406 Chevy, similar hp, same size tires with a 2500 lb A/Gas car it had a 1.68 low 2 speed Quicker drive with a 4.10 rear--- would run 7.30's at your car weight you should be good at those numbers if not a 3.90 rear ?

I like the 1.64 ratio myself, but the 1.80 is stronger.

We run a 3.89 rear gear with a 1.69 low in a 2600lb door car making around 1500 hp runs low 7's @194 works well.To give some more detail our tire size 34.5 17 16. Motor made 1550 on dyno but et/mph calculator says more like 1350 to last time out ran 7.38 @194 3 times in a row all at 3000-3400 ft elevation 60' not the best 1.18-1.21 leaving line at 4500 but car is easy to drive and repeats good enough for what we want to do, this was the second time we have had the car out so i am sure with some tuning and higher launches it will pick up a bit.

We run the 1.80 ratio. Our combo 496" BBC injected alky & low dose Nitro (no blower) 4.30 rear gear, 34.6 tires, and 2100 lbs in a funny car.
