My weather station just had a sensor failure
so i need to buy a new one
I had a computech that was the smaller race air worked fairly well for many years
What does everybody recomend today as the all around best one
I did like the compact size of the old one as it looks as if the newer ones are a lot bigger

I had the copmutech that was about the size of a 3 x 5 notecard about 1" thick. I actually had an issue with the calculator screen. The calc is obsolete. (before this one I had a computech with the barometer, temp, gauge) I bought the computech race air pro. It has calculations for engine building that are handy for many. If you don't need the additional calculaitons, the race air is the same weather station.
I have been using it for 2 or 3 years now. Accurate, repeatable, reliable. It isn't the cheapest out there. But what is a race win worth? I am happy with their service, etc.
We can check air, dial in an 8.0? off the trailer almost everywhere. Boat guy, so different than car stuff, but the principals are the same.
    Good luck.

    Computech update...
We had the boat wet for the first time this year last weekend. First pass off the trailer 8.045 on an 8.0 dial. Other passes were 7.97, 8.044, 7.98.

The Altacom that works with Racepak is nice when used with the pager, bit pricey but nice. I think Gorr has the best station and I'd say it's the most widely used in TA. The price is very reasonable for what you get and it's dead nuts accurate (aviation equipment). Spike is a great guy to deal with, may be able to search and find a used one. The handheld ones you get what you pay for.
