    This is an update crewmember Nik Duperon posted on his Facebook. Since it is good news, I don't think they mind me sharing:

    Another up date,,, Shawn is still in surgery, they have extended his surgery twice now, they scheduled till 3pm our time based on his condition and how his body reacted to the surgery! Things are going very well!! The longer he is in surgery the more they are able to repair!! Keep sending your support to every1 we all need it at this very tough time!!! xo

    More good news from Nik's facebook:

    "Big relief,... Shawn is out of surgery everything went better then could have been expected,,, Tay and fam are doing very good as well!! still a lot of bumps in the road ahead to over come but headed in the right direction!"

    Praise to God for answering so many prayers! Let's keep the prayers coming for a full and quick recovery and comfort to the family!

    Update on surgery...

    Just got off the phone with Ron. Shawn is pinned in many places (pelvis, ankle, femur...). The surgical team was spent after some 6+ hours of surgery so they closed him up and will try again on Wednesday. The head surgeon is concerned with the bone leading into the knee. He said it is the worst he has seen and he needs to come up with a plan on how to fix it. The alternative is not a good one. With what Shawn has had so far he will be confined to a wheel chair for 3-4 months at least.

    We are overwhelmed with all your support and I know it has helped Shawn and family for sure.

    Praise God is right!!!!

    Listen folks God is still God and he hears our prayers PERIOD I just pray that Gods will be done in this case and a special prayer for comfort for the family. Hey god is good and he is still in the saving business. AMEN
