Spring pressure on Veney heads

    540 KB stage 7, older Veney heads, Littlefield hh blower 38% over Pro Mod Drag Boat 8000 rpm at the finish. These heads have the non roller tips, a friend of mine was told 250lbs of spring pressure, that seems on the low side, any information would be appreciated. Thanks

    veney valve springs

    You can go a long way with the exhaust springs, intake a little more
    danger :D but 250 sounds way to low for me.
    @ that rpm i would take the intake springs out at 350 and put them on the exhaust till 300. that is a safe setup. why take the risk to hit a valve ?

    340 to 350 used to be the norm now guys are running a lot more. on a basic deal 340 is good i higher you go i think the harder it is on the valves just my 2 cents
