Is there any reason not to use an RCD timing cover with the integral bearing support?

I have one. If I remember correctly, it takes a different hub & if you want the belt to stay in the same place, an offset pulley has to be used

I run the bearing support gear drive on my blown hemi. The way I see it, if the extra bearing support will make my $3,000 crank last longer, the gear drive bearing support pays for itself. It does take the center flange pulley to keep the alignment correct. Not sure how it would fit with a damper. RCD would be who to call about the fitment.

I realize the benefits of the extra bearing, but before I bought one I wanted to make sure there wasn't something I needed to be concerned with. From your comment I will talk to RCD and let them know it's gonna have an ATI balancer installed. Thanks for the info. Gordon.

I've been wanting to run a harmonic dampner with our roots blower engines for years, just haven't got that accomplished.

Is anyone building a setup for this or built a at home version?

Do you think it would help crank life?

I think Jeff Fowler was fiddling with that last year for the tractor pullers

Check with ATI for a roots balancer. I have one but haven't tried it yet.
