    YNOT Racing Seattle Preview

Grand Junction, Colorado - After their second straight NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing National event win at the Pro Care RX NHRA Nationals in Englishtown New Jersey, the team at YNOT Racing got a well deserved break to regroup and reload.

Now Team YNOT is looking forward to the next block of events in their schedule.

First off July 20-23, 2007 is the Schuck's Auto Parts NHRA Nationals held at the very picturesque Pacific Raceways in Kent, Washington, just outside of Seattle. Once again this will be a new track for driver Jim Whiteley. Jim has a record this year of doing well when going to tracks that are new to him. (Wins at Fontana, Topeka, and Englishtown.)

This year the weather forecast indicates temperatures to be mild, unlike last year when the temperatures were near the century mark for all three days. The humidity is forecasted to be just a little on the high side which should make the competition between the blown alcohol and the A/fuel cars interesting. The track has been known to have a great deal of traction but also a few bumps down track that could prove challenging too. The largest obstacle with Pacific Raceways is that the track runs east to west. In the early evenings the drivers are looking directly into a very bright sun which, if there is a delay on Sunday due to the "R Word" could prove interesting when trying to see the tree during eliminations or the final rounds themselves because thee are also chances of showers forecasted.

From Seattle, it will be a two week stay in beautiful Somona, California for the Fram Autolite NHRA Nationals (July 27-30th) and the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Division Seven race August 3-5th. Last year Whiteley qualified for the tough national event show with a solid 5.45 second run, but anticipates to greatly improve on that time as conditions allow.
The win at Englishtown has moved Team YNOT owner/driver Jim Whiteley into number seven in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series National Points chase which, is a mere eleven points out of forth. This is indicative of how close the competition is for the 2007 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Top Alcohol Dragster World Championship.

Team YNOT would like to thank Permatex, Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Joe Gibbs Driven Racing Oil, Valspar/House of Kolor, J&A Service, Raptor Industries, Advanced Oil Field Services and Impact Race Products for their continued support
