WOOTTON AND METTLE ARMOR TO RACE ON SUNDAY
Rookie TAD Driver Records Low ET en route to Round One Win

<img src="http://insidetopalcohol.com/picture.php?pictureid=160&albumid=14&dl=1270680931&thumb=1" align="right" borders="0"/>Topeka, Kan. – 32 year old Kristen Wootton will be racing on Sunday at an NHRA National Event for the first time in her brief career after capturing a first round win today at the O’Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Summernationals contested at Heartland Park in Topeka, Kan.

The owner of Glass Depot in Magnolia, Texas qualified her Joe Monden tuned and built injected-nitro-methane METTLE-ARMOR.com Racing Oil A/Fuel dragster in the number 6 position with a solid 5.42 second elapsed time, recorded in the final qualifying session yesterday in very good atmospheric conditions. Due to a short field of only 14-Top Alcohol Dragsters, this set up a round one match-up against the number 9 qualifier, Randy Meyer from Spring Hill, Kan.

At the flash of the green Kristen recorded a respectful 0.066 reaction time however Meyer was on his game, netting approximately 0.013 second advantage as the cars left the starting-line. However, the power of the Monden tuned METTLE-ARMOR.com A/fuel Dragster took the lead after the 60 foot cones and never looked back. Wootton negotiated the HRP quarter-mile in 5.448 seconds at only 252.76 miles per hour to capture the round one victory. The .44 also served as low elapsed time of the first round in the TAD category.

“Joe Monden gets credit for this one,” stated the rookie driver and mother of two. “It’s really hot and these A/Fuel cars don’t run all that great when it gets hot like this, but he reached down and gave us that 5.448 for our first National Event round win. The car got a bit out of shape at about the 330’ mark and I had to reel her back into the groove. It was the first time I really had to man-handle this car, but it actually was not that hard and there was no way I was going to lift. With our hot weather tune-up and the quality people and parts we have with this team, I’m looking forward to a very productive day tomorrow.”

“We are so proud of this team and what they have accomplished in a short time,” noted Tim Charlet; Director of Sales and Marketing for Combustion Technologies USA (http://www.combustionusa.com) , the parent company who manufactures the revolutionary METTLE ARMOR 70 wt Racing Oil with Z-Alt Infuzed-Moly technology in the Wootton Racing A/Fuel Dragster, and EPA registered CleanBoost® Combustion Catalyst fuel treatment along with several other environmentally friendly products. “Kristen is improving every pass down the strip and Joe Monden and his crew are exceptional at making good tuning decisions. They are making our company and our products look really good. Teaming up with this team was a very good decision. We wish them the best of luck tomorrow in Topeka.”
