Whiteley Sets Another Career Best in First Round Win

Pomona, CA. Jim Whiteley and the Team YNOT TAD once again showed they could hold their own with the hitters in the tough Top Alcohol Dragster field as the team took a very close round one victory over the number two ranked TAD last year Steve Federlin.
Whiteley ran a career best 5.34 seconds at 263.15 mph over a very close Federlin who ran 5.38 at over 264 miles per hour. Whiteley was very pleased with the win. “It carried the front end a long ways out there but, it set it right down and just motored right on through. I never saw Steve (Federlin) but sure heard him, I knew it was close, but we’re tickled to go to the next round. We are also glad to see Randy Tinsley from Valspar here this weekend and want to thank them for their product support this year”.

Once again Tuning Consultant Les Davenport and Crew Chief Mike Strasburg have the YNOT car running very well. The car was the quickest to half track of all the cars .

Team YNOT will face another very tough opponent in the second round on Sunday, the 2006 TAD Champion Bill Reichert in his A/Fuel Dragster. Second round action will begin approximately at one o’clock pm PST.
