Why only eight cars at San Antonio????

 

If the potential sponsor flew the coupe, I must give credit to the IHRA for running the class for the year on their own dime.

That being said, and I am not taking sides here, but if the IHRA was mislead by a sponsor or group into thinking that the deal was done why would they pursue another class sponsor.....sounds like bad business or smooth talking

 

I think in the past they have only ever got 8 or 9 cars out to that race.

tafc sponsor

the ethanol company is sponsoring tafc. no announcement this week at san antonio due to the fact that the knoll gas torco nitrojam is in the spotlight with their announcement of their sponsorship of the whole race program. ethanol's class sponsorship announcement would have been lost in all the torco hype.
thank you ethanol for coming to the rescue of the tafc. see you at rockingham

 

If that is a fact, and I have no reason to disbelieve it, that would be great news.

Just last night on the Discovery channel there was a 10 min segment dedicated to and about the Ethanol Company sponsoring the IRL. They were really pushing the GREEN fuel high performance aspect.

 

Well who knows , after the big hipe about Knol Gas the Ihra will get the spot light and say who has come in to Sponsor the class. Maybe its Evan Knoll again for the class???????

 

Rumor i heard is the sponsor wants a 16 car field and IHRA doesn't
that is why it hasn't happend yet!!
