what rpm to shift

    526 dragster 14-71, 2 speed glide 4.30 gears, 36in. tire...what do you think would be a good shift point?..thanks Dave

    If you have an all-out racing deal (retro fit blower, titanium valves, good bottom end, 44 amp ignition), you should be able to run it to 9000 or even 9500. If the blower and/or ignition is weak, it probably won't go past 8500. Don't go past 8000 if you have stainless valves.
