I am putting together a 500" mopar wedge motor with a billet crank and aluminum rods. It has a 871 hi helix and bird. looking for ring and bearing recomendations. It seems like the v series bearings and the extreem alkerly and childs rings are the way to go. Any opinions would be great
    Thanks,

Good to see someone else crazy enough to run a wedge motor.

We run a 572" wedge with an std 8-71.

The bearing #s that I have are MS-1277HG thats a soft clevite half grooved bearing and a MS-972 M thats the same bearing just full grooved if you like full grooved bearings. I'd like to try one thats 3/4 grooved myself but i dont think they make it.

For rings we went with the Hellfire, which I think is about the same as the A/C extreem rings.

We only have one year on our combo and we are still learning.

If you dont mind, I'd kinda like to know more about your build, block, heads, cam, pistons and whatever else you would tell me, just for comparison sake.
