What rear gear ratio

    WHAT REAR GEAR RATIO BE GOOD FOR MY CAR?LOCAL TRACK IS 1/8 BUT THE OTHER TRACKS WILL BE 1/4...I'M THINKING HP RPM BE AROUND 7500RPM TO 7800RPM[I'M GUESSING]IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME THIS[RPM RANGE]WOULD BE GREAT ALSO..
    OTHER THING CAN I GET BY WITH A SET OF STREET/STRIP GEARS OR DO I NEED TO GO WITH THE PRO GEARS?

    rear gears

    find the calculator that tells you all the info you will need. I am sure you can find something on line Try goggling things. And you really can,t go wrong with 430's. Just my opinion Thanks Don

    We have a 2800lbs car

    526 Chev
    Billet Morgan heads
    10.4:1 comp
    14/71 HH Retro making 30lbs
    Crowerglide
    3 speed lenco
    34.5 Goodyears on beadlocks
    Runs 6.80 @ 205mph
    Shift @ 7500
    3.89 gear = 7200 @ 205mph
    4.11 gear = 7700 @ 205mph

    Use PRO gears only.
