what are the pros and cons between a wet sump and a dry sump system besides ground clearance.

Weight and amount of oil. Wet sump is lighter and simpler but less oil. Dry sump is more complicated, heavier, but more oil.

Big consideration: 1/4 mile passes, or 1/8 mile passes? For 1/4 mile passes, my combination benefited greatly by switching to dry sump capacity of 14-16 quarts (could see the benefit on oil P data going thru the traps). 1/8mile passes didn't matter as far as wet sump or dry sump.

All depends on how much oil is left up on top of heads/not returned or puked out.
