    Hi Guys,

What is the typical front to back weight distribution of your funny cars, with or without driver. Mainly looking for a PSI Hemi combos.

    Thanks

We are running an altered in the nhra div 2 top dragster class, and I have asked that question to most of the TAFC guys that come to these events. Some smile and nod, some shrug their shoulders, and Jay Payne acted like I asked the most forbidden question ever.
In short, none of them would answer this question.
We are running a BBC with a glide and a 129" wb, and we are at 54% rear weight.
I keep going Up on the nose weight because the driver likes having the front wheels on the ground so he can steer (picky-picky-picky).
I have not run into a problem from too much nose weight yet, and I am not sure I would recognize it if I did.
I am also only going up about 2 lbs. at a time. The car is sensitive to it from a wheels up point of view.
We were up to 70lbs in front of the front axle, so I took the weight out and moved other components around to achieve the same bias %'s and lighten the car by 100lbs. with no noticeable change in performance (weird, huh?)
It is possible that the reason these guys are so quiet about it is there is magic here.
Just my $0.02 ($0.46 with inflation)

Made rear end adapters in .5 in increments just for that purpose Right now it balances at 64 inches. Soos I guess thats about 50% If those dont work I'm gonna. make a magnesium weight bar!
