To anyone with a website and or a message board. If you know anyone who can protect your computer from hackers, Do it asap. The cifcaracing chat board was taken over sometime last night from our turkish terriorsts. I dont know if we can protect insidetopalcohol on this one if they find it.

 

OK, don't keep us all in suspense. Tell what problem was caused by them hacking in.................

 

The problem is no more chat board. Just a screen that states you have been hacked. By doing some research I found its the same group that took out Florida's emergancy system. They are called bela secret hackers.

No worries gents. If this website is anything like the alcohol classes... they'll never find us.

how did they get in?? what system?? win or *nix

I have been a webmaster and host for 10 years and put about 5000 sites up and never been hacked.

It seams to me that no one is going to put a big effort into a hacking a site unless they are going to gain from it. If you just had a chat room it must have been very easy. It's not hard to lock down a server if done right.

If they got in that easy, find a new host asap!!

 

We have been hit twice, first time was a major deal took out the entire site, a hole in the php software, second time they got in threw the avitar's somehow and was able to take over members accounts and cause some problems. But didnt kill us. Dont do like we did and not keep the php updated on a regular basis We learned a hard lesson
