The WAR "Acceleration Celebration" to be held at Martin US 131 Motorsports Park.
The Acceleration Celebration will be staged at the Martin US 131 Motorsports Park on July 3rd, 2004 This star studded lineup will include A-Fuel Dragsters and Top Alcohol Dragster running together as well as Top Alcohol Funny Cars and Pro Modified running in their perspective classes. A manufacturer’s midway will be assembled behind the spectator’s grandstands featuring local retailers selling their products along with manufactures displays to add to the excitement. In addition to this, a classic car show will be held in the racers pit area early in the afternoon with hundreds of beautiful classic cars and hotrods. The rock band NONPOINT will be live and on stage and a Coors Beer tent will round out the entertainment. An autograph session, featuring the stars of the World Alcohol Racers, is planned early in the afternoon to allow fans to get up close and personal with their favorite drivers. Race fans will also be able to purchase racing fanware and apparel from the race teams to add to their collection. WAR will award cash bonuses for low elapsed time, top speed and best burnout, in each category, to assure the action will be fast and furious. The “Hell on Wheels” wheel standing U.S. Army Tank will make quarter mile passes on it’s rear wheels to add to the excitement. A large 4th of July fireworks display is being planed that will highlight the race after the final round and put the icing on the cake for the "Acceleration Celebration".
