    Money? Yer Kidding

Well that didnt take long. Ill bite, whats good money for a 7.50 match race. there hasnt been a 32 car show in many years, dont think it will happen again. the last group to try run a 7.50 show had a poor turnout. both in people and poor performance in cars. I have afew tracks interested, but its only going to happen if folks have cars and can run a number. not dreamers. that said if you have a car that is running or close call me. thanks for the interest.

There's an association that runs out of Edmonton Alberta here, called the IBAA. They run the 7.50 deal, so real nice nostalgia cars and they all run 7.50. Check them out at www.awesomeburnouts.ca.

Darrell Webb is the President, you can find his contact information on the "About IBAA" page.

Run a number 5.87 is our best. In Seattle on 7 if we can keep them all lit with our new car maybee we can run some 70s. About running 7.50s I don't know if you can do that with Screw Blower as far as money it costs around $900 a pass if your clean and soft. Correct me if I am wrong some tracks pay $600 to $800 there arent very many funny"s around the area anymore that run in the 7s Anyway thats my 2 sheckels Peace OUT

    7.50 with a screwblower

most guys trying to run 7.50 cant afford screw blower. we ran one on a chevy dragster @ 6.85 for a time. just spun it slow. its just a compressor. so far here in the NW I know of about 12-15 7.50s in canada and another 10 in the states, all div-6 stuff. they just wont run top-comp. Its been hard to get a show for many different reasons. I hope it can come together for us all. the cost to run this type of car is very low, about 100-150 a pass. deffenantly not like you guys in tafc. but its aplace to start. ps thanks for the info on IBAA, ive talked to them and some are interested.

If we can get the money right CIFCA will come run up there, or we can do a north vs south deal, let us know

    money

whats the right money? just curious since you guys have been doing this for awhile. trying to see what we can do for corp race sponsoship. its a tough sell up here when you have guys running mid 6s for as little 300 apass. and top-comp guys go alot quicker, etc you know the drill. that said it would be great to see a major race across the states to find a 7.50 champ!:D

    7.50 F/c

If you put up a $2000 purse with $1000 to r/u (or something close), tow money, low entry fees and free crew entry you'd probably get some interest. CIFCA has been very successful and I know you'd attract some of them up north with that kind of purse. I'll still be around in March/April to run and then we move to Vegas, but for the right money we'd make the drive. Our car has run several low 7's and is set-up to run the 7.50 class as of right now. We've gone down the track every time and the only time we've broke is when the reverser gave out at woodburn and then it was just short burnouts and 70's style pushbacks. Let me know what you are looking at for a schedule as I'm just now putting my 2007 season together.
I can also put together a fuel altered show to run with us if you have tracks interested in that as well. However, they are a lot more money per pass, but you get what you pay for. Low 5's all night long with candles lit.

    early season

the race they hold inspokane in may has been iffy. held at night its usually 50 degrees, track is ice. jim does not plan on running until june. correct me if im wrong but cifca does not pay that well. the round money is about 125-150? other money is payed by corp sponsorship. the tracks struggle with the fact that pro-mod runs very cheap per round. and nowadays you have top-comp running 6.50s and they pay to race.I know the 750 cars put on a good show. but theres alot of bad history up here to over come. so if everybody wants to sit back and wait for big money this may not happen.

the primary focus is on funnys, they are the draw.its what the tracks want. r.e.d.dont get much bookings as headliners. nothing personal. there not nostalgic, which is also the main theme. next would be door cars etc. in truth if you could get 8 a/fc to run say 690-670s for cheap enough the 750s would not get booked, and so it goes.
